紐西蘭 泰唔士 Thames, New Zealand
紐西蘭有個城鎮，跟流經英國倫敦和劍橋的河流有著一樣的名字。即便這個城鎮在今天已經漸漸沒落人口外移。在19世紀初，這裡可是紐國數一數二的大城市跟但尼丁不相上下，蓬勃發展的原因跟許多掏金城市相似，因金礦而大起大落。但吸引我的地方是，即便人口不如以往的多，但市區遍地的歷史建築林立，彷彿坐著時光機回到百年前，建築們各自訴說著人們的故事!
While one of the most famous river in the world named Thames which flows through Oxford and London in England. Similarly, there is a town called Thames where locates in the Coromandel region on the top of North Island in New Zealand. Perhaps, there are not many people have ever been there before, however it was one of the biggest Gold-mining city in New Zealand in the end of the 19th century. By visiting those historical locations in the town centre, it seems like we were taking the time machine back to the hundred years ago.

參觀金礦遺址
雖然市中心並不大，但超過20棟100年以前的建築。對於喜好古蹟探索的遊客來說，值得推薦。除此之外，有幾個觀光景點是有關於當年挖礦的遺跡比如第一張照片的礦區。本照片的水井房博物館建於1896年，利用河水來過濾沙子而進而掏出金質沙地。都是當地義工來解說，門票都捐為維護古蹟費用。 Even though Thames is not a big town nowadays, however there are plenty of the classic architectural buildings surround near the town centre. For those who enjoy visiting heritages do not forget to reserve sometime to visit them. This Pump house museum runs by all the volunteers with a small entry fee which donate to the local council for maintaining the historic side.
