Pompeii was a city once written on my textbook. It makes me feel like walking into the history museum. "龐貝"一個曾經出現在地理課本的名詞,數年後的我,彷彿穿越時空般的走入距今兩千年前歷史停留的那一刻, 見證了大自然的力量... 此點為義大利自由行八天七夜的第六個主要城市,從威尼斯機場-維羅納Verona(沙士比亞名著"羅密歐&茱麗葉"故事發生地)-羅馬Rome(處處有驚喜)-梵蒂岡Vatican(莊重而高貴)-佛羅倫斯Florence(美麗的錯過)-拿波里Napoli(比薩發源地)- 龐貝Pompeii(見證歷史)-米蘭Milano(時尚之都)-德國慕尼黑Munich 當初會想來龐貝,除了它已存在的國際知名度以外, 作者我也是歷史古蹟與博物館大粉絲。 想當然爾,這個近兩千年的活生生歷史博物館引起了我極大的興趣, 記得小時候跟姐姐做功課時,談起幾大世界古文明,如美州馬雅文明,龐貝古城,吳哥窟, 沒想到有一天竟能親自踏進當年馬車走的路上。故人的足跡與成就,在旅遊過客我們腳下一步步的印證歷史!有一剎那真認為自己走在古世紀的電影場景中... 曾看過一些龐貝的圖片和Discovery探索頻道介紹,但背動式的吸收知識遠不及於親臨現場的興奮與震撼!!!這個約2萬人民的古城,其文明與頻繁的商業活動與現今社會不相上下, 城市中有錯落著如麵包店, 歌劇院, 磨坊, 洗衣店, 酒吧,小酒館,色情行業,浴場在在顯示當年人民的富裕消費力。 西元79年當維蘇威火山爆發時, 火山灰將整個城市瞬間覆蓋滅城有如世界末日般的陰暗...走在城市內隱約可看見當年馬車的痕跡,不僅幻像起當年車水馬龍繁忙的情景,只能輕歎,大自然的力量果然不容小覷, 沉默了1400多年的它終於在1599年被首次發現, 直到1977年被列為世界文化遺產! Luckly, after several years passed, I got a chance to visit it by myself. It's really amazing to stand inside a city which was destroyed by volcano 1900 years ago... Now please take your time to have a look into this old, but "modern" city!!!!!

One good thing about lives in Auckland is there are plenty of domestic flight deals or even sometimes Australian deals people can choose from and quite easy to get to the airport through Sky bus about an hour trip from city center. After being working for a while in Auckland, we were thinking to get away for a long weekend trip.

Taipei 101 - It was the tallest building in the world. Now, it is the landmark Skyscraper of TPE central. Well.. I think it's time to write about my hometown city - Taipei(TPE) I have thought about it since finishing my first blog post, but the truth is the longer you have lived in a place, the more difficult it is to express your feelings about it. Taipei Region has constructed from two main parts which are "Taipei city (2.7Mil ppl) + New Taipei city (nearly 4Mil ppl)". This means almost 6.7Mil people out of Taiwan's 24Mil population (~30%) live together in the same city. Well, this is the right place to view Mt Taranaki which is located in the Taranaki region (West coast in North Island). It takes around 3 hours to drive from Hamilton, however only 50mins flight from Auckland domestic airport.
