Well.. I think it's time to write about my hometown city - Taipei(TPE)
I have thought about it since finishing my first blog post, but the truth is the longer you have lived in a place, the more difficult it is to express your feelings about it.
Taipei Region has constructed from two main parts which are "Taipei city (2.7Mil ppl) + New Taipei city (nearly 4Mil ppl)". This means almost 6.7Mil people out of Taiwan's 24Mil population (~30%) live together in the same city. Shall we start our brief tour about my home town TAIPEI?
寫了那麼多城市, 竟然還沒寫出我的家鄉台灣,台北。為了盡我這個小小國民的義務， 我想我是該好好的推廣一下，我所居住了這麼多年的家。
其實"家"這個詞本來對我還頗理所當然，只是每當我踏出國門後, 身上唯一的一個有用證件只剩下護照。每遇見一個人, 第一句話就是你從哪裡來? 曾在德國介紹自己是台灣來時，常被誤會"泰國"，解釋了一番後還要在世界地圖上認真的指出"台灣"，當然我也遇到更多善良的世界各地友人的幫忙，在這裡的確要心存感激!!
由於很多外國人對亞洲的了解有限, 曾經在上課時, 德國企管教授談到"韓國"的BENQ 被德國西門子合併了....原來"國"和"家"ˇ對於一個在異地的我比起什麼都重要, 因為是一種歸屬感吧~但~本篇文章當然還是離不開吃喝玩樂啦!
台灣真是一個美食天堂, 每回在桃園機場候機時才會有更深的領悟, 但我想先從台北寫起好了, 其他城市會慢慢整理分享的! 只是比起專業人士我這個業餘部落客, 會盡量在這個網路有限流量, 風速時不時達到130公里的城市慢工出細活的寫出我這還沒有老年癡呆的紀憶~
這裡要註明一下, 由於台北有太多好吃好玩的東西, 部落格空間有限無法為大家一一呈現, 還有以上經驗純粹是個人經歷不含任何政治立場或種族評論請大家不要放大檢視喔!!!

Bike riding自行車遊

| Cycling in TPE has recently become more popular. To help encourage cycling, the government has built a bicycle path in the city, next to the river. From New TPE city to the end of Tanshui is about 16km. |

| It's pretty safe and comfortable to do exercise with your family by riding next to the river. 淡水河延岸景色很不賴喔! 台北河岸自行車道還真的方便且安全但建議有同伴一起，因為有些地方還真的有點偏僻喔。 |

| If the weather is good enough, you may see one of the best sunset views in TPE. 幸運的我們也看到了美麗的日落彩霞~ |

| Desitation"of cycling way-Tanshui is an area on the end of the red metro line, and it gets more popular every year with tourists visiting as there are some historical embassies from Netherlands and Spain which show a unique perspective on the history of TW. It becomes a great place to escape from the crowded central city especially when combined with the beautiful river view. It can be busy on the weekends though, so if you don't like crowded tourist places, I recommend you ride during the week.
淡水-集合美食與歷史文化的好地方。雖然從學生時就三不五時的周末與同學搭乘捷運一路坐到紅線底站，常常就是逛完老街後返家, 直到近期才真的參訪如紅樓下午茶, "最知名"魚酥, 新建成老餅, ..等~且最近發現淡水果然越來越多國際觀光客~沿河岸餐廳酒吧也朝越來越休閒渡假風發展。若有時間也推薦坐渡輪到對岸八里吃"雙胞胎"(淡水友人的極力推薦喔!!)

| After a long ride, it is time for a break to taste some local snacks of Tanshui. One of the best things about Taiwan is no matter where you are and what time it is, you will always find something delicious to eat or taste. Even some convenience stores offer pre-prepared food and seats for people to dine-in.
終於在運動一下午後抵達了終點，在身心疲憊狀態下我們找了間沿河岸餐廳坐了下來開始享用食物。但因為是非供餐時段, 我們點了些淡水魚酥, 鐵蛋,泡菜...但吃完還是很餓~只好繼續到老街吃小吃PS此餐廳低消頗高比較偏向"觀光氣氛"視個人預算喔!

| This is a very famous "Xiao Long Bao" restaurant called "Din-Tai-Feng". Normally takes 1~2 hours waiting on the line and the prices are high. But if you prefer some fancy Asian Cuisine, it's worth it to try. Btw, Tom Cruise also visited and learned to make his own Xiao long bao last time he was in Taiwan. 上圖應該很多人都不陌生, 它就是頂頂大名"鼎泰豐", 我個人推薦他們蒸蝦餃 |

| Japanese Cuisine has also become very popular in Taiwan, not only due to the cultural influence but also because the new generation has started to dine-in more and care more about their health. They prefer less oil and the complicated cooking process which avoids losing the nutrition of the food itself. This restaurant is called "YuanShao"; it is close to the Yong-An market station by metro orange line. |

| Lebledor, a famous beer restaurant which provides German style tap beer and has delicious bar food.
"金色三麥", 愛啤酒的人絕對不能錯過~他們家的啤酒偏德式, 會不定期更新酒單與菜單, 氣氛也很不錯, 適合中大型聚會喔~!

W-Hotel buffet, there are a lot of different buffet's available in Taipei with different price ranges and specialities. I would recommend W-hotel for people who like seafood; Grand Hyatt has great dessert and eatogether.com offers mid-class buffet for people who enjoy Asian cuisine.
W飯店, 主打六星級住房, 雖然沒有預算去住他們家, 但去偶爾在節慶去吃餐廳總是可以的啦~~個人比較推薦愛吃海鮮的饕客去~另一間HYATT君悅的凱菲屋甜點很不錯喔,他們家時不時也是有餐卷推出, 饗食天堂的CP值也很不賴喔!

| French coffee shop "Merci", a cosy and warmly decorated cafe. It's located in an alley near Far Eastern Mall and Banchiao station. They have opened a new shop which is 100m away from the original one, but I personally preferred to visit the first one.
這間咖啡店座落在板橋舊遠百巷弄內"Merci"(法文的謝謝), 店內提供西式巧巴達等很不錯吃~還有間"好初早餐"(近板橋市議會)早餐也非常不賴, 但永遠都是排隊狀況, 所以我推薦"電話訂餐"後外帶回家慢慢享用

| Some pies? Yep, there are a couple of Costcos in Taipei and one was pretty close to my previous office, so sometimes if you miss Western-style desserts, you will know where to find them. The only thing is that you need to be a member. Sometimes it can be a bother as I can't go unless I have my sister with me who is the card holder..... |

| No worries, I think most people know this brain."Starbucks", well a lot of students in Taiwan they like to grap a cup of Startbucks as a fashion mark. Indeed of fashion and saving time, I personally enjoy more about Italian type of coffee maybe it because I was working with them and I always have to look at the "CREMA" while I drinking my coffee. There are also City Cafe available which provide 24 hours from 7-11 in Taiwan. So the last thing you have to worry about if you travel to TW is coffee and food 處處可見的連鎖品牌星巴克 |

| There are also another style of Cafe style in Taipei which I think they call themselves "LOHAS" means Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability. They like to use some wood decoration and explored cement color which bring up a warm feeling. "樂活風"的咖啡廳在台灣也越來越盛行ㄟ~ |

| Well.. I don't quit remember how does the coffee taste like? But I think it's a little bit bitter. It might be better for people who enjoy dark roast coffee bean .
恩~咖啡的滋味不太記得了(似乎微苦)。 自從學完咖啡課程後, 嗅覺似乎大幅增進, 連烘焙的豆子(中度或重度烘焙,鮮奶純度都斤斤計較...) 在台灣大多時候還是偏愛自己煮的咖啡~

| 北海岸海景(距台北市區約1小時車程) SEA VIEW from nord coast of Taiwan, it takes like 1~1.5 hrs driving from TPE city center and of course you may taste one of the best seafood of Taiwan by FuJi Fishing port |

| 烏來充滿芬多精的"雲仙樂園", 建於烏來山區, 由於車輛必須停放在山下, 進園區唯一方式為覽車(興建於日據時代), 非常推薦喜愛健行的人~ Mt. Wulai - it's a town in the Mt. about 1 hr driving distance from Xin-dian. This place is famous for aboriginal culture and hot spring. But it can only approach by driving. In summer, the place can offer fresh Pythoncidere and in winter a how about take a warm and nice hot spring will definitely make you feel so much fresh after. |
